Option 2: Virtual Phone Number
It’s more expensive but it works.
Virtual phone numbers are LESS likely to be used and abused then free phone number services such as Google Voice. That said.. do not assume virtual phone numbers are safe. The problem with virtual phone numbers is that these companies generally have smaller pools of phone numbers available to them compared to free services. That means the more popular a service becomes the more likely you’ll end up with a number that has been used and abused. We’ll review the different virtual phone number service providers below and you can decide on the one that works best for your setup.

Service | Notes |
---|---|
Freedomvoice | An oldie but goodie. |
TollFreeFowarding | Mixed Results |
Phone.com | Last reported: Working |
Broadvoice | US and Canadian VOIP phone services. Unlimited international. |
Vumber | Numbers are heavily used and abused BUT it does work for some users. While more expensive it does work. |
FlyNumber | Mixed Results. Some users have no problems while others have seller limits imposed. I would suggest FlyNumber as a last resort. |
Evoice | Mixed results. Use with caution. |
Freephoneline | No problems. |
Vonage | The Vonage app is where it's at. It seems more of these services are moving towards their own apps. |
VoipFone.co.uk | Mixed Results. Working as of current. |
Soho66 | Seems to work "Soho66 will work for the phone confirmation. The number you use needs to be "area specific" eg if it was a Birmingham address the number needs to start 0121 etc etc. Easy to use and buy numbers. You can forward them all to your own mobile AND even better you can put a whisper so that you can upload a pre-recorded message to tell you which account the call is coming in from" |
Have you tried any of these services? Let me know how it went for you and if you have other options we should be looking into.
